About
California Lutheran Homes Foundation and Community Services is an independent not-for-profit social ministry organization, and a member of Lutheran Services in America. Founded in 1947, CLH provides funding and other assistance for those in need of housing and human services through partnerships with church congregations, community-based organizations, and local agencies.
The CLH Foundation provides grants and support to partner programs that benefit foster youth, affordable housing, retirement communities, congregations, and synods/districts of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We primarily support affordable housing initiatives but we also partner with organizations that promote young adult education, work-force training/preparation, mentoring, and life skills counseling. We consult with and support congregations that are exploring strategic alternatives to their ministry and mission.
